Dealers say Ladas in deficit at least until Sep as parts absent

MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) – There is deficit of Lada cars, especially of the most popular model Lada Granta, and it will last at least until September, the car dealers told PRIME on Tuesday.

"The Lada Granta deficit in Pragmatika exists both in the North Caucasus Federal District, and the entire Russia. It will last until fall if the situation with the components does not deteriorate," dealer CEO Vladislav Rydayev said.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of BN-Motors Alexei Podshchekoldin said that there is deficit of all Ladas, and AvtoVAZ pledges to solve the issue in September. An Avtomir representative confirmed the deficit of Lada cars.

AvtoVAZ said earlier that it would resume operations on Monday after a two-week vacation, but Lada Granta would not be produced for at least one more week due to the lack of electronic components.
